Self-service car rental
We offer a comprehensive solution for self-service car rental companies, which will ensure the process of the customer picking up the car from the car rental company and then returning the car without the need for interaction with the car rental company staff. The solution cooperates with car rental systems such as the ordering system or the parking system and can be customized.
It includes comprehensive check-in and check-out of vehicles through our hardware and software.
Picking up the vehicle (customer check-in)
The customer will receive a notification about the preparation of the car and the possibility of picking it up. They arrive at the smart box, where they log in with the car rental reservation number or access QR code. The details of the reservation will be displayed. If the customer did not pay for the service in advance, payment of the amount will be required, mostly cashless via the smart box payment terminal. The customer ticks the mandatory consents to the conditions, etc. and confirms with his signature. Subsequently, the car key (or other documents) is issued by opening the smart box and information about the parking place and/or the procedure for picking up the vehicle is provided. The customer leaves the parking lot by car. After check-in, the car’s license plate number is on the whitelist of the parking system and the check-in report is forwarded to the car rental company. A notification is sent to the customer about the successful completion of check-in + if he paid, a receipt is delivered.
Vehicle return (customer check-out)
The customer arrives by vehicle through the entrance parking gate. Gate will let him in because the vehicle registration number is on the whitelist (optionally, he will use a pin or another gate opening principle in case the registration number is not recognized). As part of the entrance, a photo tunnel can be integrated with license plate reading and collection of photos and videos about the condition of the vehicle. The customer parks the vehicle in the collection parking lot. They arrive at the smart box, where they enter their reservation number, use a QR code or identify their registration number. It will confirm that the vehicle is OK. Inserts the car keys (possibly also documents, technical license, etc.) into the assigned smart box (it will open by itself). And he walks away. The checkout report is forwarded to the car rental company. A notification is sent to the customer about the successful completion of the checkout. Optionally, reading the vehicle key inside the smart box or tagging the customer’s operations for the car rental camera system can also be implemented.
